Our hand made butcher blocks are made from all Ontario Black Walnut from the Lake Huron region. The butcher blocks all come with a juice groove on both sides and hand notches on either end for easy carrying. Since the juice groove is on both sides, these boards are completely reversible (i.e. one side used only for onions for example).
They are so beautifully made they could easily be used as a serving tray, cheese board or charcuterie board. They are ready to be enjoyed as they have already been finished with a food safe oil and come with an extra small jar of food safe oil which can used to moisturize the block periodically.
The dimensions are: 12" wide by 17" long and a beefy 1.75" thick.
There are three wood grain options for the boards; End Grain, Face grain and Edge Grain.
